Sonja is an Associate Attorney at WR Immigration, specializing in global immigration under WR Global Practice. Sonja has extensive experience representing a variety of clients in global immigration matters.
Her primary focus is working with global employment-based visas, work permits, residence permits, permanent residence, as well as global immigration compliance and global mobility. She represents clients in a variety of global industries, including technology and engineering services.
She also has extensive experience advising corporate clients on their global workforce programs, immigration strategies, and the immigration impacts of corporate reorganizations.
She also has experience with U.S. nonimmigrant (NIV) and immigrant (IV) employment-based visas, drafting responses to complex Requests for Evidence for H-1B and EB-2 NIW petitions.
Prior to focusing her career on immigration matters, Sonja practiced a broad range of civil and family matters as a solo practitioner for five years in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Sonja earned a JD from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico (Ponce). She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Puerto Rico (Rio Piedras) with a major in Natural Science.
She is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
