ISRAEL: Visa Nationals No Longer Eligible for Hi-Tech Visas

Oct 24, 2019 | Global

Effective immediately, visa nationals may no longer obtain new or renewal Hi-Tech (HIT) work visas, and their spouses may no longer obtain new or renewal Employment Authorization for Spouse (EAS) B-1 work visas.

Eligible high-tech companies who wish to obtain work permission for visa nationals must apply under the B-1 Foreign Expert category, the process for which is much longer. Pending HIT applications for visa nationals will be redirected for processing under the B-1 Foreign Expert category.
