Trump Gold Card: Not Open Yet, But June Could Be the Green Light

Jun 5, 2026 | Investor Visas

The Trump Gold Card program remains unavailable for filing, despite growing signs that implementation is moving forward. USCIS has now advanced Form I-140G—the petition required for Gold Card applications—to the final 30-day Paperwork Reduction Act review stage, signaling that the agency is nearing the end of the federal approval process.

If the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) clears the form after the June 29, 2026 comment deadline, the program could receive final approval as early as July 2026, although USCIS would still need to announce filing procedures and operational details before accepting applications.

For prospective applicants willing to make the required $1 million unrestricted donation (or $2 million corporate-sponsored donation), now is the time to prepare documentation and monitor USCIS announcements. The program is closer to launch than at any point since the Executive Order was signed, but it is not yet open for business.

Conclusion: The Gold Card is still a concept in development, not an active immigration filing category—but June 2026 may prove to be the month it clears its final bureaucratic checkpoint.
