Josune Aguirre Gamez is a graduate of Southwestern Law School’s SCALE two-year JD program and is licensed to practice law in the state of California.
Ms. Aguirre Gamez assists national and multinational organizations with all aspects of corporate immigration including strategizing and drafting L, E, H, TN, O, and P nonimmigrant petitions and EB-1, National Interest Waiver, and PERM based immigrant petitions. She provides global immigration recommendations, strategizes, and prepares waivers of inadmissibility and J-1 waiver applications, assists with consular processing, represents clients in immigration court, and works with employers to ensure I-9 compliance both during ICE and internal audits. Ms. Aguirre Gamez also trains professionals in case preparation, leads new and existing client seminar and presentations, and assists with best practice management.
Ms. Aguirre Gamez has worked with organizations advocating for accessible immigration services to all underrepresented immigrants, including Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) clinics, the Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project, and Southwestern Law School’s Small Claims clinic.
Ms. Aguirre Gamez served as a committee member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Verification and Documentation Committee and has also been selected to Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters Raising Stars for 2022. She also was selected for inclusion in the 2023 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® with the Best Lawyers: “Ones to Watch” distinction.
