Briefing

  • On September 30, President Trump signed the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2021 and Other Extensions Act (H.R. 8337)  to fund the government through December 11, 2020.  The legislation includes provisions to increase premium processing fees from $1,440 to $2,500 as well as expand the availability of premium processing to additional form types.
  • USCIS’s timeline for implementing the fee increases and expansion is unknown.  While the law takes effect immediately, WR expects USCIS to issue a public announcement outlining the timeframe and specifics of the expansion in the near future.
