Robert Blanco, Senior Associate Attorney at Wolfsdorf Rosenthal LLP, presented on the advantages of the EB-5 investor visa for Indian foreign nationals at the “H-1B to EB-5” seminars hosted by ILW. The seminars were held in Newark, Washington D.C., Dallas and San Jose.
Mr. Blanco discussed how the Indian green card applicants face massive backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories, and recently, in the EB-1 preference category as well. Currently, EB-5 is the only preference category that is not backlogged for Indian applicants, but a recent announcement from the Department of State confirmed that an Indian EB-5 backlog will begin around June 2019. In order to avoid getting stuck in the EB-5 backlog, it is best to start the EB-5 visa application process as soon as possible.
